orphans, most of them waking up from hibernation

Bear's regular diet

Bear
cubs are born in January or February, about the size of a hamster, except
they are hairless and helpless. The mother bear carefully keeps the cubs
close to her while they are in the winter den

Vet carrying a
little bear

Orphan
cubs need specialized care. Many are received as yearlings and some
need veterinary attention. Most yearlings that are in need of care arrive
under weight, weak, and in some cases need veterinary attention. The
Algonquin Animal Hospital - Huntsville and the Parry Sound Animal Hospital
- Parry Sound are a great asset in giving bears the needed medical
attention as required
